FIFA (Sport) Communities

Such an unusual outreach for teenagers from the neighbourhood of the church "Revival" which we decided to manage while the process on the set up of the soccer field at the parking of the church is done. The goal of this outreach is to get to know more and to continue "building bridges" with the teens of the neighbourhood - with those who we got to know at our summer camps and with the new ones, and also to advertise to them the future soccer field and of course to witness them more about Christ.

 To the first FIFA community 3 guys came, two of them participated in our summer camp Sport Family. We believe the Lord brought specifically those who He wants to touch, and that was just the beginning :-)

It was a homy family atmosphere Sport Family, the winners got prizes and the most important - the guys heard Gospel and the call to accept Christ into their lives!

The second FIFA Community - the Lord brought to us the same guys as were before and even more so it was twice more than the last time . 

The guys played the tournament, and between the games we played floorball with the hockey sticks and fuseball.

 

At the Gospel part they heard about what it is  - friendship with God and what Christ did as the Best Friend Ever.

The winners got prizes - a big sneakers bar (for the main winner) and the Gospels of John with the testimonies of the famous athletes in them.

Please pray for these teenagers   - Vlad, Vlad, Lesha, Andrey, Artem and Misha so that God's Word would grow in their hearts, also for futher communities - FIFA and at the soccer field.

Please keep praying for the installation of the soccer field at the parking of the church "Revival" - the artifical grass is bought, the cleaning was done, ahead are the works on the lights, heating, lockers, purchase of the columns protection mats and arm chair bags etc - we woud like the place to be the one where the non believing children and their parents would want to come and we want this place to be different from other football clubs etc due to its Sport Family in Christ atmosphere ;-) It is quite challenging in our country to buy and to deal with the companies regarding protection mats etc. Thus your prayers are needed.  

Besides main activites in AIA I also continue practices in the team with non believing ladies and by a non believing coach. The team ("Pretty ladies 30+") I wrote to you about in the last blog posts. We got renamed into "Tigers":-)

 The team applied to play in the competitions for the Cup of Ukraine and also in the ABL (Amateur Basketball League). We are the only women's team in ABL. Please pray so that I'd participate in that wisely, so that there wouldn't be injuries, so that we'd be a friendly and united team, so that God would open the hearts of these women from the team and would give me possibilities to share Gospel with them.

And also I have a possibility to keep developing my basketball coaching skills helping to coach the middle school girls from KCA (Kiev Christian Academy). May be the Lord will answer and will give us in the future to start the basketball sport community ;-)

Please pray - the competitions games between the international schools will start in two weeks:)













Thank you for the prayers about my friend and the basketball girl - Anuta R. The Lord gives the possibility again and again to share about Him with her. Please pray about her true repentance.

Thanks to the Lord that I can be a mentor for my friend - basketball coach - Katya P. Please pray for her health, for the finances (she has a low salary) and for her girls she coaches, for their competitions in Ukraine. 

Please keep praying about the deliberance and for the true repentance of my sister, Irina, for the true repentance of my brother Valera and of my nephew, Vova. I dream we would be one big Sport Family:)
