Hi everybody!
How are you? What are your thoughts/reactions to the situation with the COVID-19?
I think it's the best time to find out how you are doing and to share with you about how the things are in our ministry ;-)
Recently I read such an encouragement from my devotions.
Culturally, Jesus lived in a society that was built around the idea of community. Families in the first century lived in houses where multiple generations lived under the same roof. They had family gardens—“ganim” in Hebrew—like these ones I photographed in Bethlehem, which were terraced plots stacked side-by-side and on top of each other on a hillside. Entire neighborhoods would work together to maintain the retaining walls and care for the gardens because if one garden failed, they all failed. For a garden to bear fruit, the whole community had to work together. Life was built around relying on your community—and people survived because of the community around them.
As a team, we decided to communicate and to be in the fellowship with each other online for now. All our sports outreaches are stopped for now. Kiev is closed now, including public transport and all shopping centers, etc. due to the Covid-19. All events have been canceled and are currently prohibited. Christ had a team of disciples, and thanks to such a powerful tool as a team is, He expands the scope of the Gospel. The Lord has expanded the boundaries of Sports Kids to 3 locations in recent months. But now it is a good time for us to stick together as a team and as a community :-)
PRAY PLEASE FOR:
- the health of our team members and the health of children and parents of Sport Kids;
- the economic stability in Ukraine;
- a wisdom in making further decisions.
This is what happened in Feb and March
Our extended Team Building party :-)

We have launched a new location Sport Kids in Kyiv-Svyatoshin area, and we'll be helping a local church in the Living Complex Molodezhnij to share Gospel and to build bridges between their church and the community around. Please pray for this ministry as of course there's a spiritual war going on there among some local residents who are suspicious that their children would be "brainwashed with the religion though soccer", and pray for our team and for the church there. Thank you!
We are in the church "Dim miru" (eng - House of Peace), the leaders and the businessman who also built the soccer field, are praying for the ministry of Sport Kids.
Praise God for the third Sport Kids community party for our parents and children. This time even some parents got involved and brought their board games. There were games, contests, a FIFA tournament, ping pong tournament, songs, Just dances, awards according to the biblical program of Emmaus, and the gospel was proclaimed again - about God's gift — Jesus and His love. Please continue to pray for our children, that their characters are built on God's principles, as well as about their parents, that they seek more Jesus in their life through us. Thank you!
God blessed me to participate at the women's sports conference "The Champion’s Way” It was a very cool time among believers and those who are on the way to God soccer indoors and ourdoors girls, basketball girl, fitness and rehab coach from Sport Life fitness club, champions at boxing, at ping pong, total fit coach etc. We did everything : we studied the theme "Soul traumas", we had total fit and fitness trainings in the mornings, we played soccer against men coaches and boys, we laughed and told lots of jokes, we had a lot of gifts, and great soul life stories were shared. I got new sports girl friends.
Please pray for the repentance of my close relatives - my brother, my sister and my nephew. Please tell what I can pray about you? Let's be a community, encouraging each other prayerfully first of all! ;-)
Thank you for your prayers and support!
Hugs in Christ,
Anya
